The gardeners behind Saffron Walden's best-kept allotments have been named.
At a Town Hall ceremony, the Mayor of Saffron Walden Councillor Richard Porch handed awards to six gardeners who look after the best-kept patches at the Little Walden Road and Crocus Fields allotments.
Lee Huggins also collected an award on behalf of Dig It Community Allotment to recognise the charity's work to provide learning and gardening opportunities for residents.
The Mayor said: "It was a great pleasure to present the awards.
"Choosing the finalists was not easy given the high standard of the town's plots.
"I was also pleased to award Dig It a small token of our appreciation."
Mr M Monk took first prize at the Little Walden Road, with Mr C Blakeburn and Mrs R Parrott taking second and third prizes.
Mr D Kidman took first prize at Crocus Fields, followed by Ms F Plent in second and Mrs J Boreham in third.
