Two young people from Saffron Walden have been offered prestigious places at the National Youth Music Theatre.
Both teenagers are closely involved in Saffron Walden Musical Theatre Company (SWMTC), and both will take part in NYMT performances this summer.
Niamh Davies, assistant stage manager at SWMTC, has been accepted to the stage management programme, and will be assistant stage manager on The Boy Who Sailed The Ocean In An Armchair.
Niamh said: "This is an amazing opportunity for me…I will be working alongside the professional stage managers who are leaders in their field.
"NYMT is well recognised for its training and I’m very much looking forward to the course."
Meanwhile Oscar Riley, a member of SWMTC Youth Group, has been chosen to perform in the NYMT showcase production of 'When I Grow Up', and said he is "thrilled" to be able to take part.

The National Youth Music Theatre offers pre-professional, musical theatre training for young people age 10 to 23.
There are opportunities for stage performers, musicians, technicians and stage crew - as well as creative team mentorship programmes for aspiring directors, musical directors, choreographers and designers.
The courses are residential, and Oscar and Niamh - who both hope to go into the industry - have a fundraising page to help cover the significant costs.
