Sworders auctioneers are holding a preview and drinks reception ahead of their Great Bardfield art auction, in partnership with Saffron Walden's Fry Art Gallery.
Sixty pictures by artists of the Great Bardfield school will be on display at the Stansted Mountfitchet auction room on the evening of Monday, April 24.
Artist Chloë Cheese will give a talk titled Life in Great Bardfield. Chloë is an illustrator, painter and print-maker, whose parents were both artists, and spent her childhood in Gret Bardfield.
The Fry has many of her works, as well as those of her father Bernard Cheese and mother Sheila Robinson.
Other East Anglian artists with work featured in the exhibition include Edward Bawden - who produced watercolours and linocuts of the area - and his friend Eric Ravillious.

An artwork depicting 'A Snowy Day' in High Street, Great Bardfield - dated 1955 - is expected to sell between £7,000 and £9,000.
John Aldridge, who was part of the second influx of artists to the village, has an oil painting 'Path to the House' in the auction, depicting his garden at Place House, Great Bardfield, which is expected to fetch £5,000 to £7,000.
