Pupils across Uttlesford have been taking part in special activities to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
At R A Butler Academy in Saffron Walden, children and staff dressed in red, white and blue to bury a time capsule to mark the occasion.
The children chose items which reflect the school today, including a photo of headteacher Emma Vincent.
During the ceremony, the pupils - who have been learning about the coronation in assembly - sung the national anthem.
They also each planted a sunflower seed to reflect how much King Charles enjoys gardening and nature.

At Great Dunmow Primary School, pupils either dressed up in red, white and blue or as princes and princesses.
In class, each year group focused on a monarch from history and learnt about their life and their impact on the UK, and pupils took part in a drawing competition where they were encouraged to draw a portrait of a monarch.
The whole school collaborated to perform the poem 'The King's Breakfast' by A. A. Milne, with each class taking a different verse. The performance was recorded and then shared with parents.
Pupils played with bouncy castles, bungee trampolines and quadbikes on the playground.
The Great Dunmow Wind Band were supposed to perform on the school field as part of the 'picnic on the lawn' with parents, but due to the weather performed a variety of popular tunes in the school hall instead.
Every pupil received a commemorative bookmark and badge to take home at the end of the school day.
A school spokesperson said: "All these activities as well as separate activities in classes ensured that Great Dunmow Primary School celebrated the King's Coronation in style."
Meanwhile, Thaxted Primary School celebrated the coronation as part of International Week, focusing on all countries within the Commonwealth realm.
To mark the coronation the children also dressed up in red, white and blue, enjoyed a tea party with jelly and ice-cream, played games and learnt about the meaning of the coronation.
A spokeswoman for the school said: "We've all had a wonderful week of learning."
