A father-of-two from Saffron Walden had a memorable 50th birthday after winning a car worth nearly £66,000 with online competition firm BOTB.

Nick Mutch was surprised on his birthday by a visit from BOTB's Christian Williams, who told him he had won a new Audi RSQ3 Sportback Vorsprung.

The software designer said he is planning to take the cash alternative, which he will put towards a new house.

He said: "The money will come in handy as I am selling my house in London and need to buy one up here.

"I’ll also probably get a new car as well as I’ve currently got an old Mini."

When asked how he celebrated his birthday, Nick said: "I had promised to take my daughter on a shopping trip so that's what I did on my birthday, but I’m sure I’ll be able to enjoy some celebratory drinks at some point."

Christian added: "A massive congratulations to Nick. I was delighted to be able to surprise him with this stunning car on the day of such a special birthday."

BOTB hands over the keys to a car each week, as well as a lifestyle prize. In recent months, winners have bagged prizes including Rolex watches, holidays and motorbikes.

The Audi RSQ3 Sportback Vorsprung features 396bhp, i5 Turbo engine and a top speed of 155mph.
