Saffron Walden Mencap Society's 'Go With the Flow' group received a cheque for £600 from the town's Inner Wheel Club.
Maria Rayner and Leslie Sibson from The Inner Wheel Club of Saffron Walden presented the cheque at Fairycroft House on Friday, June 23.
The money was raised from a fashion show and an afternoon tea for a local bridge drive.
Maria and Leslie were served drinks by the group's young people, and looked at scrapbooks showing their activities.

Project coordinators Cath Read and Dianne King said: "We would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful ladies of Saffron Walden Inner Wheel for their generosity and support.
"Some of the money donated will be used to provide summer activities for the young people."
