Elsenham WI welcomed The Silver Darlings - Essex's only female sea shanty band - at their annual summer party.
Guests from Great Hallingbury WI, Guildhall Girls WI in Thaxted and Bishops Stortford WI also joined the event.
The five band members sang a range of shanties, from familiar favourites such as 'What shall we do with a drunken sailor?' to lesser-known laments.
The Silver Darlings travel all over the UK and abroad, and once impressed a French sea shanty band by singing one of their own shanties in French.

Moyra Jackson, president of Elsenham WI, said: “What a fabulous evening, the Silver Darlings were superb.
"With good food, great entertainment and wonderful company, an evening at Elsenham WI is never boring."
