Rotary in Saffron Walden is looking for local charities and organisations that could benefit from their upcoming Christmas collection.
The beneficiaries will be chosen before Rotary begins the street collections, which will be held in the town during December.
Applications need to demonstrate how urgently needed the funding would be, and how it would benefit Uttlesford residents.
Project leader David Boreham said: "The application form is simple to complete and will assist the selection committee in their choice of organisations and charities to benefit.
"We do not know how much we will raise but are hopeful that we will match the £8,000 we raised last year thanks to the generosity of local people."
The annual Rotary collection has been held for many years, and has donated more than £100,000 for local charities.

Retailers in Uttlesford are supporting the collection, and Rotary members will be accompanied by hand-bell ringers The Tinkerbells on some of the collection days.
Along with the Christmas collection, Rotary in Saffron Walden also holds regular collections of donated items for Ukraine.
Details on how to apply, and an application form, are available from the website at https://rotary-sw.org/our-news.
The closing date for applications is Saturday, November 25.
