A group of 21 members and partners of Audley End's Probus Club recently went on a guided tour of Cambridge Central Mosque.
Opened in 2019, the £23 million "architectural masterpiece" is believed to be the first truly eco mosque in Europe.
The mosque was shortlisted for the Royal Institute of British Architects Stirling Prize in 2021, and won the people's vote.

John Macdonald, who organised the visit, said: "This was an outstanding visit, and the club is most grateful to our excellent guide.
"Members were so impressed by the design of the mosque and by the great lengths to which the mosque authorities went in order to consult the local population over its design."
The Probus Club caters to retirees in the Audley End area.
