The first Pop Up Start Up Market in Saffron Walden has been deemed a "huge success" despite the wet weather.
New traders from across Uttlesford showcased their products at the market on Thursday, October 26, which for some was their first time trading at a market.
Feedback from traders was positive, with many saying they are keen to attend more of such events.
One trader said: "We had a fantastic day meeting customers new and old.
"The way the market was run was amazing and very professional."
Saffron Walden Town Council was able to provide the first in a series of additional markets thanks to funding from the Shared Prosperity Fund.
These markets are aimed at supporting new businesses and small traders within the Uttlesford area.
A town council spokesperson said: "The first Pop Up Start Up Market was an excellent opening for new traders; thank you to residents who supported them!"
Families also enjoyed free half-term activities, with Halloween crafts, games and a performance from the cast of Saffron Hall's pantomime Cinderella - as well as free face-painting and a live music from Ben Smith.
A visitor commented: "Great free activities put on - my children loved the face-painting and craft station, thank you!"

The Christmas market will be held on Sunday, December 3, and there will be community carol singing in the market square from 1pm to 2pm on Friday, December 8.
A Christmas gift fair will be held in the Town Hall from November 17 to 21 and December 1 to 5.
