Children took part in spooky experiments as part of a Halloween STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) session in Saffron Walden.
The event was hosted by Sandra Beale, who runs free STEM sessions from her home in Saffron Walden, at La Boite restaurant.
Fourteen children took part, ranging in age from 18 months to nine years.

Experiments included putting sticks through bags of water, flying ghosts, jumping spiders, spider races and travelling water.
For the past three years, Sandra has been participating in BBC STEM Science Season, and recently gave a presentation on her sessions for toddlers and young children.
Sandra will also be running a BBC Children in Need STEM relay session on Friday, November 17.
