Saffron Walden Library is due to reopen next week, after it was temporarily closed due to concerns about RAAC at the site.
RAAC (reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete) was potentially identified in a recent survey, leading to the library's closure last week.
A spokesperson for Essex County Council said: "Saffron Walden Library is due to reopen on Monday, November 20 following a temporary closure.
"The library has been temporarily closed for a short time due to RAAC being potentially identified at a recent survey.

"Additional surveys and mitigation work is due to be completed this week and it is anticipated that the library will reopen after the weekend.
"At this point the ground floor will be open only, but all resources will still be available including the Gibson library.
"Updates will be posted on the Library Service social media channels if there is a delay to the reopening."
