The Inner Wheel Club of Saffron Walden recently welcomed volunteers from the Cambridge branch of the Samaritans for a talk and presentation.
Volunteers Brenda and Richard met the Inner Wheel Club at Saffron Walden Golf Club to tell them about the charity's work.
The Cambridge branch of the Samaritans has around 145 to 180 volunteers at any time, and is always looking for new trainees.
Samaritans is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with 200 branches at different locations and 23,000 volunteers across the UK. The charity answers a call every 10 seconds and also offers an email service.

Samaritans is one of Inner Wheel Club president Margaret Dawson's chosen charities this year, and the group is holding various events to raise money for the Cambridge branch of the charity.
