Saffron Walden Rotary Club has donated eight portable generators and petrol cannisters, which will be added to a shipment of supplies for displaced Ukrainians.
The club collected food and household items on Saffron Walden Common, also receiving £1,500 in cash donations.

On Monday, February 12, the organisers - Rotarians John Tapscott and David Boreham - delivered the generators to Alan Hilliar and Pauline Craven, founders of Felsted-based charity UK-Aid.
Alan said: "These generators will be much appreciated by those who are displaced and will be a valuable and extremely helpful supply of power.
"They will go together with many other items in our next shipment to our distribution hub in Chernihiv."
