With the freedom to pursue hobbies and interests like book clubs, bowls or pilates, the residents committee gives everyone the opportunity, space and encouragement to explore new horizons.

“My sisters and I moved my mother to Mill View three years ago and without a doubt it’s the best thing we could have done for her,” said Lisa Gifford. “It is still very much her home and most definitely not a ‘care home’.”

A place to truly call home

Lisa said that the one and two-bedroom apartments, as well as the entire complex itself, are perfect for the retired and especially those who need care.

Further facilities include a hair salon, visiting nail technician and village shop, as well as the rooftop restaurant which offers a three-course meal each day.

“My mother enjoys a variety of freshly cooked lunches everyday from the restaurant, which knows her favourites,” said Lisa.

Whether it’s assistance with daily tasks or simply a friendly face to brighten the day, the staff at Mill View go above and beyond to ensure the well-being and comfort of each resident.

“Cera Care are the in-house healthcare providers who have looked after my mother since being there,” said Lisa. “I can honestly say that they have been truly wonderful.

“The team take care of all her needs from morning until night and know when she’s not feeling 100% or in need of medical assistance. The team also have an understanding of what will help them look after her.

“As an example, they have been great at liaising directly with occupational therapy,” Lisa added. “Also, having the carers on-hand 24 hours a day gives me and my sisters immense peace of mind.

“I would highly recommend Mill View!”
