Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote is coming to Saffron Walden.
The event will take place at Saffron Screen on April 20 at 7.30pm, and involves an interactive screening of the classic Murder, She Wrote episode 'Paint Me a Murder'.
The show, which was given special permission from NBC Universal Television, was a sell-out in London, the UK, Ireland, and Australia, and aims to offer a 'unique and hilarious' experience featuring games, prizes and audience participation.
Hosted by Murder, She Wrote super-fan Tim Benzie, the event was also a significant success at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023.
It features a race to solve the crime through the 'fameometer' and the 'suspiciometer', a Cabot Cove quiz, clips and bios of guest stars, and a sing-along to the iconic theme tune.
Jason Bond, business manager at Saffron Screen, said: "We cannot wait to bring Solve-Along-Murder-She-Wrote to our audience in April.
"This interactive screening promises to be highly entertaining and a great night out!"
Time Out London rated the event five out of five stars and said: "I’d go again in a heartbeat. I urge you to do the same."
British Theatre Guide added: "I’d challenge anyone to sit through this show and not get utterly invested in figuring out whodunnit, whilst smiling at the comfort that this 80’s drama brings."
Tickets can be bought via the Saffron Screen website or the Tourist Information Office.
