Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra (SWSO) will perform work by Saint-Saëns, Glazunov and Brahms at their upcoming concert.
The orchestra will perform Saint-Saëns' Symphony No. 3 in C minor, more popularly known as 'The Organ Symphony', along with the less well-known Concerto for Saxophone and String Orchestra by Glazunov.
The concert takes place at 3pm on Sunday, May 12 at Saffron Hall.
Tickets cost £21 or £18 for adults over 25, £11 for ages 18 to 25 and £6 for under-18s.

The programme opens with Johannes Brahms' Academic Festival Overture, which was composed in 1880 and based on student songs of the day with Brahms' own twist.

This is followed by soloist Charlotte Treadaway performing Alexander Glazunov's concerto on the saxophone, showcasing the full range of an instrument not typically associated with orchestral music.
Finally, the orchestra will join forces with musician Richard Carr from Stansted, who will perform the symphony by Camille Saint-Saëns.
While famous for the 'unmissable presence' of the organ, the symphony is in reality a collaboration between strings, woodwind, brass, organ and piano.
