A community centre in Saffron Walden is celebrating its first anniversary with an official opening ceremony.

The Jubilee Hub Partnership will host a 'Community Celebration' at the Jubilee Hub and Jubilee Garden on Tuesday, May 21 from 1pm to 3pm.

The event will feature a mix of activities including an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, a 'singing for the soul' sing-along and opportunities for mingling with community groups.

Opened in April 2023, the Jubilee Hub offers a range of activities designed to promote community spirit and inclusivity.

Its programme includes youth services such as 'Chat & Chill Youth Café', 'SEN Sanctuary' and 'The Artist Hour', alongside established initiatives like 'Building Buddies' and 'Warm Welcome Hub'.

A full activity schedule will be launched in June 2024.

The celebration event is open to all and there is no need to book.

The Jubilee Hub is a collaborative initiative of Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC), Enterprise East Group CIC, and Uttlesford Community Action Network.
