Kent Police Band delighted Saffron Walden residents with a free concert at The Bandstand on Sunday, June 2.
On their return journey from Beamish Open Air Museum, the band treated attendees to classic and show tunes.
SWTC events officer, Colette Kerr, guest-starred on second horn. Tea, cakes, and a successful £186.50 donation drive were managed by Uttlesford Community Action Network.
The funds are set aside for a new information screen for Jubilee Hub.
Bandstand Season 2024 commences next month, detailed at Tourist Information Centre or via events@saffronwalden.gov.uk.
A SWTC spokesperson, said: "Many thanks to The Kent Police Band for an entertaining and polished performance – and to UCAN for their volunteers and delicious cakes."
The band’s Musical Director, John Groves, added: "Thank you for having us! The acoustics of the bandstand and within Jubilee Garden are wonderful – it was an absolute pleasure to be in Saffron Walden."
