Members of Saffron Walden Initiative recently visited Curwen Print Study Centre in Great Thurlow, Suffolk, as well as the gardens of Great Thurlow Hall.
At the print study centre the group viewed two print studios with historic presses and watched a printing demonstration.
The centre also had an exhibition of work including prints from Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, John Piper, Prunella Clough, Edward Bawden and Paula Rego.

Great Thurlow Hall has 13 acres of gardens set around the River Stour, and the gardens were open to raise money for charity as part of the National Open Gardens Scheme.
Tea and homemade cakes were served in the church, which initiative members enjoyed in the garden.
