Film courses returned to Saffron Screen last month, with a course on the 'Greatest Films Ever' at Fairycroft House.

Nearly 40 people attended the event, which was delivered by academic and writer Ellen Cheshire, who has written on many subjects concerning cinema.

The sessions covered films of the 21st century, world cinema, women directors and the Sight & Sound Best Films of All Time, with attendees posing thoughtful questions.

Saffron Screen also conducted a poll of attendees of their top three films to compare with the Sight & Sound poll, which was released in 2002.

Films that made it into the Saffron Screen top 10 are The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, Taxi Driver, Psycho, Some Like It Hot, Anatomy of a Fall, Thelma & Louise, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Pulp Fiction.
