Saffron Walden Rotary has welcomed Andrew Burton as its new president for the club's centenary year.
Andrew, who started his year as president on July 1, is the owner of Burton Butchers and follows in the footsteps of the club's founder Carl Engelmann, who owned a nursery in Radwinter Road and was the first president in 1924.

Past president Tim Boyden handed over his chain of office to Andrew at a recent dinner.
Andrew said: "It is an honour to be the president in our centennial year and I pledge the club to continue its support for local worthy causes and for those in need internationally.
"We plan to ensure this coming year includes a special contribution to the town to mark our historic achievement."
