Saffron Walden Rotary is holding a collection for the people of Ukraine at the Common on Saturday, August 10.
The war has left families without basic food and household items, as well as essential winter clothing.
The collection will be held from 9am until 1pm, and Rotary is asking for donations of warm winter clothing, footwear in good condition, everyday food items including pasta, rice and gluten free products, toiletries, cleaning materials, cooking utensils, torches, batteries and crockery.
Cash donations will be going towards the purchase of pallets of food, and can be made at the Rotary collection point in cash or by credit card.
Rotarian John Tapscott, who organised the collection, said: "The Rotary Club has held fourteen collections in Saffron Walden and Abington over the last year two years.
"Donated items are sorted by the Felsted based charity UK-Aid and delivered to distribution centres in Ukraine and Moldova for the benefit of refugees.
