A 63-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to murdering a man and a woman in Ugley.
Maria Nugara, 54, and her son Giuseppe Morreale, 29, lived in Ugley and both died on Tuesday, May 28.
Calogero Ricotta, 63, of Cambridge Road, Ugley, is charged with two counts of murder and one count of actual bodily harm.
He appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today (Friday, August 16), and pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
He will be remanded in custody until a trial due to begin on January 20, 2025.
