People living in Saffron Walden are invited to give their views on air quality in the town.

This latest survey will help inform the work that Uttlesford District Council is doing to improve air quality as part of the Saffron Walden Clean Air Project.

The survey, which is run by MP Smarter Travel on behalf of the council, should take around five minutes to complete and is open until Monday, October 7.

To take part, visit www.uttlesford.gov.uk/clean-air-survey.

Participants can all enter a draw at the end of the survey to win a £100 voucher.

The responses will help the council understand how residents' perceptions have changed since the last clean air survey, which was held in summer 2023 and received more than 800 responses.

Both surveys are part of the Saffron Walden Clean Air Project, which works with businesses, schools and residents in the town to create a cleaner, greener and healthier environment.

The project has involved educating pupils about sustainable travel to and from school, discouraging idling and monitoring air quality.

Residents have also been educated about the dangers of wood burning, walking and cycling routes in the town and the council's sustainable transport initiatives such as electric cars and e-bikes.
