A community 'Wave of Light' will take place in Saffron Walden next month for anyone who has experienced baby loss.
Following the success of last year's event, the candlelit vigil will be held at Jubilee Gardens at 7pm on Tuesday, October 15.
The event is timed to coincide with the global Wave of Light movement - held at the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week.
All are welcome to attend, hold a candle and stand together in a moment of silence to remember babies lost too soon - no matter how long ago or recent the loss.
Ribbons will also be available to tie on the bandstand in Jubilee Gardens throughout Baby Loss Awareness Week, which runs from Wednesday, October 9 to Tuesday, October 15.
People are welcome to bring their own ribbons or use those provided.
Attendees are advised to arrive from 6.45pm to choose and tie their ribbon and collect their candle before the silence at 7pm.
Organiser Clare Edwards, who lives in Saffron Walden, said: "Last year we had people attending the Wave of Light who were recently bereaved, and others remembering babies lost more than 20 years ago. Some attended alone, others with loved ones.
"The Wave of Light is a simple but poignant event, giving us a chance to stand with others who understand the heartache, which is never forgotten.
"The hope that the ribbon display throughout the week will serve as a moving tribute to our babies as well."
The event will be raising money for the baby loss counselling charity Petals, which helped Clare's family after the death of her baby niece - who was stillborn on July 18, 2023.

Clare said: "Petals have been hugely helpful to my family following the loss of my niece, Eloise, and I’m sure they have helped many of us in Saffron Walden, so while it’s not compulsory, any donations made will go towards this incredible charity."
Donations will help Petals provide more vital counselling sessions to bereaved parents.
Clare thanked Saffron Walden Town Council for their support of the event.
