More than 40 children from Thaxted Girlguiding and Scouting enjoyed a day out at Chessington World of Adventures.
Children aged from six to 15 visited the theme park on Sunday, October 6, and had a go on "thrilling" rollercoasters, log flumes and the "magical" Gruffalo river ride.
They also visited the animals in the zoo and enjoyed singing and dancing at the Halloween-themed shows.
The trip was only financially viable thanks to sponsorship and funding both groups have received.
Leanne Kell, unit leader for the guides and scouts, said: "We had a great day. It was very rewarding to see the smiles on the children’s faces and hear their cries of excitement and giggles of joy.
"For some this was their first theme park visit to a theme park and a great opportunity to be adventurous, challenge themselves, make new friends and enjoy a thrill filled day.
"Thank you to the parents and leaders attended and therefore making this trip a possible.

"Trips and opportunities like this wouldn’t be possible without the amazing volunteers.
"Sponsorship and grants allow us to offer these trips at an affordable price for all. With thanks to Don’s Coaches Dunmow for transporting the excited children safely."
Due to the amount of activities on offer, the children have requested another trip to do it all again.
