Saffron Walden Rotary Club is holding a collection for Ukraine - with need becoming critical as winter approaches.
The collection will take place on Saffron Walden Common from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, November 9.
The destruction and interruption of power and water supplies throughout Ukraine will worsen the living conditions for millions of people during a third winter of war.
There is a need for warm winter clothing, blankets and footwear in good condition, along with everyday canned food items, pasta, rice, gluten-free items, toiletries, cleaning materials, cooking utensils, torches, batteries and crockery.
Cash donations will also go towards purchasing pallets of food. Donations can be made at the collection point by cash or credit card.

Donated items are sorted by the Felsted-based charity UK-Aid and delivered to distribution centres in Ukraine and Moldova, where they will benefit refugees.
Saffron Walden Rotary president Andrew Burton said: "Local people have responded admirably to all our past collections that have included a vast selection of food and household items and cash that enabled us to purchase 14 generators.
"The support has truly been very generous. We are hopeful that we will get a good response again for those living in such hardship."
