Royal British Legion Parade Marshal Michael Birnie said: "With a few minutes to go before proceedings started, I looked at the assembled parade and down the High Street at those lining the route and had a feeling of immense pride in the town and how privileged I felt to take charge.
"From the bass drummer in the Band who ensured we kept in step to the youngest child who marched with a smile everyone played their part in making the day such a memorable one, thank you to you all. We did remember them."
A Saffron Walden Town Council spokesperson added: “Many thanks to our partner organisations and residents who supported and participated in the smooth running of the respectful service in remembrance of the fallen and those that serve our country."
