Primary schoolchildren contributed to a time capsule filled with cherished items buried at a building site in Newport.
The capsule was buried at The Hill Group's Hollymead Square development.
The event was attended by 12 Newport Primary School pupils- aged four to 11 - along with headteacher Miss Wareham and year four teacher Mrs Waite.
Miss Wareham said: "It’s been fabulous to be part of such a great event and to feel the warmth of the Hollymead Square community.

"This project has been a wonderful opportunity for our students to consider what ‘community’ really means to them."
The project aimed to inspire children, encouraging them to leave a meaningful legacy for future generations.
The capsule's location will be marked by a commemorative plaque.
