Great Chesterford Bowls Club celebrated their centenary with a large special event.
Around 100 adults and children, including members, gathered for some fun and eclectic games on the green.
Abbie, aka Captain Fun of Big Red Door, entertained children with crafts in the summer house while the vice president's select team had a game of conventional bowls against members.
There was also plenty of hot dogs, home-made cakes, ice creams and drinks to keep everybody well sustained.
The day was rounded off with five musicians from the excellent U3A SW 'uke group performing a mixture of traditional and modern songs.
A spokesman for the club said: "Overall this was a fantastic celebration of 100 years of bowls in Great Chesterford."

The club's second in-house competition this year saw Jill Legg and Richard Cornell win the pairs ahead of Sue Swatton and Bill Clarke.
The teams in the two leagues in which the club compete have had a mixed bag of results in the first half of the season.
The Cambs & District team did have a notable success against Haddenham in the Gilbert Cup, however, taking them into a quarter-final meeting against Longstanton.
