There was trophy joy for Saffron Walden Community Girls as their U10 Rangers side retained a trophy.
They had gone in to the Cambridgeshire Girls & Women's League Cup as holders and on a glorious sunny day at Ely City, they won the trophy for the second year running.
Their opponents Coton U10 Girls made them work all the way but in the end Walden claimed a 6-3 win.
They had made a wonderfully strong start, Jemima and Ella on target as they went 3-0 up, but Coton fought back and it was tied at 3-3 going into the final quarter.
Imy and Ella though made sure SWC would not be beaten as the team regained its composure and scored another three.
A spokeswoman said: "With Alexa and Lacie as goalkeepers on the day, Flora, Dora and Nam Nam as strong as ever in defence, and Maggie and Eleanor bolstering the team's attack, the game caps a fantastic run for the Rangers, who are unbeaten in the last two seasons."
